Pareja Unveils “Largest Lawn Sign” in 15th Congressional District

Hayward, CA - May 22, 2012

SouthlandBillboardThe Chris Pareja for Congress Campaign today launched what it calls the “largest lawn sign” in the new 15th District. The 27’ wide by 15’ tall digital billboard in front of Southland Mall is placed in one of the busiest transit corridors in the newly designed Congressional territory which includes the areas between northern Fremont and southern San Leandro and cities east to Livermore.

The sign placement was chosen not only because of the high traffic density, but also because the city of Hayward and Interstate 880, in particular, bring together the most ethnically and socio-economically diverse audience in the district.

This stretch of 880 is a main artery for not only residents of Hayward, but also for commuters travelling between Oakland and San Jose or from the far East Bay and Central Valley when commuting to San Mateo and the Peninsula.

“The sign was designed to show youthful enthusiasm and confidence in what can happen if the right representative is placed in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC,” says Pareja. “Plus, it directly puts forth the message that Pete Stark Must Go.”
